Adidas Explores Creativity in Soccer at The Mercury Center (Santa Monica)

Adidas commemorates creativity in soccer at The Mercury Center, located within the Barker Hangar, with an interactive three-day exhibition ending with a viewing party for the U.S.A. vs. Colombia soccer match (June 3).

Members from the soccer community – including young student athlete groups – were invited to experience Adidas’ Mercery Center and meet with various creative participants at the exhibition including jersey customizations offered by Chain Gang LA and customized soccer cleats by The Shoe Surgeon.

A special area showcased the label’s new soccer Mercury Pack cleats, which were recently featured in Adidas’ new short film titled “First Never Follows,” a video series featuring soccer greats Paul Pogba, Luis Suarez and Mesut Ozil.

The various “stations” offered at The Mercury Center also featured collaborative work by jeweler Guillermo Andrade of Four Two Four on Fairfax, with a series of custom jewelry pieces to celebrate the summer’s biggest moments and the players who will make them happen.

A t-shirt screen printing area was also viewable on-site with pens, patches, and a team of illustrators and designers to produce one-of-a-kind custom pieces for Mercury Center guests.
