Del Taco adds Mexican chorizo to its menu. The flavorful protein option is offered in three brand new breakfast items: the Chorizo Breakfast Taco (only $1 on the Buck & Under Menu at Breakfast), the Chorizo Half Pounder Burrito and the Epic Chorizo Scrambler Burrito – all served between the hours of 11pm and 11am daily. Foodbeast Co-Founder, Elie Ayrouth, was given the exclusive invite to visit Del Taco’s headquarters in Lake Forest to get a first-hand glimpse of the American restaurant chain’s operations. There, Elie met with the culinary team to get a tour of the kitchen where he saw chefs prepare freshly grilled chorizo, as it’s also prepared at every Del Taco location, as well as their hand-grated cheese and fresh chopped pico de gallo.

Not having gotten his chorizo fix just yet, Elie and a few others from the Foodbeast team headed to an actual Del Taco location on their way back to the office and proceeded to not only order the new chorizo breakfast items but other Del Taco favorites as well – but “bold” (which amazingly adds fries and secret sauce to any item on the menu).
Founded in 1964 and with nearly 550 restaurants in 16 states, Del Taco serves more than three million guests each week. Del Taco goers are also encouraged to add their new spicy chorizo sausage to anything on their breakfast menu, as Elie took full advantage of here:
