DTLA: Converse Chuck II X Converse Essentials Apparel Ed. X Nice Kicks

SUSPEND worked with Nice Kicks for a series of styled looks with Brooke Maroon and Brandon Manzonelli in Downtown Los Angeles utilizing pieces from the Converse Essentials line and the Converse Chuck II's.

"With a nod to the Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers, the Converse Essentials collection not only looks better with age and wear, but becomes even softer with each wear. Each piece includes fabric that fades naturally with long-term wear, durable stitching and a managed shrinkage fit that remains the same throughout its lifespan. The pre-washed material allows for minimal shrinking and offers a women’s cut that is a bit more form fitting that is a modern take on sportswear trends." – Allison Halfhill

"Improving upon a classic is something that Converse is not new at. The iconic Chuck Taylor has naturally evolved with the times since it first hit shelves in 1917. The Chuck II High Top stylistically looks different than its predecessor with tonal stitching and eyelets, the absence of striping on the outsole and an embroidered rather than stamped logo patch. The differences don’t just end there with an upgraded insole, padded tongue and a perforated micro-suede lining." – Allison Halfhill

"With the launch of their new Converse Essentials apparel line, the designers set out to improve upon the style and comfort of classic sportswear. The Converse Essentials crewneck, styled above on Brandon (grey), achieves a flat construction to eliminate any bulk and discomfort when layering. Elevated construction puts a twist on this tried and true silhouette, and a modern fit allows for maximum movement and layering." – Allison Halfhill
