DIANE: What’s the concept behind the latest “COLOURS” collection from ROUBLEAU? JANAE: "Colours are a form of expression. Two separate styles in an array of colours. Featuring a color palette drenched in dark shades, creamy tones, and a design scheme characterized by cleanly precision."
Your son, King, was featured in your ISSUE 05 feature for our latest print issue of SUSPEND. Has he given you input regarding your latest collection? Which one is his favorite piece so far? "He contributed to the sweatpants colour selection. They’re his absolute favorite, along with the light blue “Roubleau Was Here” t-shirt. "
We recently collaborated on photographing this latest lookbook from ROUBLEAU and I immediately fell in love with the army green sweatpants that Mars was wearing. How did you think of designing children’s sweatpants, and do you have future plans to expand on more in different colorways? SHOUTOUT TO YOU! Absolutely! The “Roubleau Was Here” sweatpants is available on our online shop. Comfortable, flexible, and day to day wear. A sweatpant with a tuxedo satin piping. The color combinations can easily be paired.
What is it like seeing all your hard work come to fruition with this new collection? That’s tough! Haha. I’m still working.
What’s been the best experience so far for you in the history of ROUBLEAU? And what has been the best response you’ve received from other parents who dress their kids in ROUBLEAU? The purity and energy of all six kids that I had experienced, shooting Colours. Sorry, parents! The kids responses are the ultimate.
