Fran Marchello, Ray Santos, Mikey Luciano, and Andrew Dharmosetio – the entrepreneurs behind Sandalboyz – had a lot to celebrate this past Friday as their inaugural collection sold out at DOPE Fairfax (January 22). By the time we headed out, we spied only three boxes left at the counter, a great sign for the group who have been steadily and quietly marketing this very launch of their first collection for the past few months now via Instagram. Andre Power of Soulection was the guest DJ for the evening. Guests who attended the launch included Khleo Thomas, Grey Matter founder/barber Julius Caesar (who came to support fellow colleague Ray Santos), Anwar Carrots, designer Bana Bongolan (Diamond Womens), and Justin Boosie of Round Two Hollywood.
The two colorway slides that debuted nationally on January 23rd were sold in limited quantities at DOPE Fairfax both in the muted olive and rose colorways. Marchello mentioned that another drop can be expected next month on February 14.
