DOPE WOMEN Launches Its First Collection at DOPE Fairfax (October 8)

DOPE Women held its first collection debut at DOPE Fairfax on Thursday (October 8) and photographer Angella Choe was in attendance to snap the very first photographs from the always-expanding streetwear brand. The carefully crafted pieces and innovative design showcased progressive looser-fitting feminine silhouettes with sweatpants, varsity flower mesh crewnecks, and varsity layered mesh shorts. Every piece from the inaugural DOPE Women collection stands as an expression of thoughtful concept, design, and execution.

Choe photographed Head Designer, Demi Bunn, and Creative Director, Bibi Brigode, of DOPE Women at the launch. The designers’ vision with DOPE Women is to combine the juxtaposition of street-inspired sportswear silhouettes and feminine details by bringing key elements like cool mesh layers, crop silhouettes, and beautiful floral print, to design for the woman who is independent and cool, yet still want to look and feel feminine. Classic staples in black, white, and heather grey with pops of vibrant blues and rich magenta florals lined the walls of the DOPE Fairfax store.

Also at the DOPE Fairfax flagship store was a a soft launch for jewelry designer Taylor of WinWin.US which will be sold exclusively at the store. Taylor’s pieces – Death Row earrings and gold cuffed dollar bill straws – compliment the attitude and spirit of DOPE Women.

Social media influencers Flamcis, Ellen V Lora, Thavy Yin, and Arika Sato rubbed shoulders with heavy hitters in the photography scene including Are Bernard of 335mm along with DOPE Women campaign star model Naressa Valdez and her crew – the Deux Twins, all to the sounds by DJ Tamara Sky.

The collection is available exclusively on DOPE.com and at DOPE Fairfax.
