REEFER ON THE ROAD: 4 WEEKS IN... TOURING WITH TALIB KWELI

Another city in a matter of a few days. Sometimes time flies so quickly that I lose track of what day of the week it is. Is it Monday?... Wednesday?... Saturday?

I have not figured out if that is a good or a bad thing yet but I am learning to adapt to the constant changes in my surroundings. I try my best to stay present in the moment. I try my best to be grateful every day for the opportunity I have been given but at times I fall short and take certain moments for granted, without realizing that this very path I walk on can only be lived once. The steps that I take cannot be re-taken, there is no rewind button, there are no do-overs.

So what do I do four weeks into the tour, with a little over two weeks left and 10 shows to go? Honestly, I don't know. I have no idea what I'm going to throughout the final leg of this tour...I don't have plans to "end things with a big bang." I don't  even know what I'm going to do once I get back home. I'm truly scared shitless. I guess I shouldn't divulge that, but since we are talking about the reality of my life I might as well keep it real right?

With that said, I think I know what I'm going to do now... I'm going to live the shit out of these last two weeks! I'm going to be thankful, be merry, be crazy, be happy. I'll make anyone who crosses my path smile, never forget their names or their faces and I'll make sure they'll never forget mine.
