With their debut album Sremmlife newly released, California-born duo Rae Sremmurd treated some of L.A.'s finest to an early listen of their anticipated LP on December 10th at a private listening party. Signing with one of hip-hop's premier producers, Mike Will Made-It's Ear Drummer records, brothers Slim Jimmy and Swae Lee have already received a ton of radio play with their lead singles "No Flex Zone" and "No Type," and now look to treat fans with a full-length album. Following a formula of high-energy production and catchy hooks, the youthful pair delivered their catalog of party tracks. It's clear they're looking to take nightclubs by storm. Sremmlife provides a fun escape as the boys don't provide much substance in the lyrical department, but with them so early into their career, fans should only expect their skills to grow. If you'd like a past reference for comparison, think Kriss Kross when they joined forces with Jermaine Dupree in the early 90's. There's no telling how Sremmurd's path will end, but the kick-off is definitely something worth flexing about.
