SUSPEND X PIZZA SLICE 2: "ACROSS THE STREET" PHOTO SHOW IN AOYAMA

SUSPEND Magazine wrapped up its Tokyo trip with an exhibition of photo works by Randy Nakajima and Diane Abapo at Tokyo's beloved Pizza Slice 2 thanks to Verdy. The graphic designer and artist connected SUSPEND with Hiroki Sarumaru, owner of Pizza Slice's two locations, for a last-minute photo exhibition the night before SUSPEND departed back to Los Angeles (April 5). Throughout our two weeks in Tokyo, we befriended fellow creatives and individuals in Tokyo who came out to support us on April 5. (Special thanks again to Verdy and Hiroki for making this photo exhibition happen.) Sounds by Fkakshin and Unagi Crimes (Tokyo Vitamin).

"ACROSS THE STREET"

Randy Nakajima and SUSPEND’s Diane Abapo presented “Across the Street” – a series of photographs by each photographer showcasing street culture’s global reach. Both photographers' work exemplified the diverse youth culture in Los Angeles with select photography featured in issues of SUSPEND Magazine along with never-before-seen imagery  shared for the first time in Tokyo. Even though Los Angeles is across the globe, the facets of street culture documented by each photographer can be akin to just being – across the street.
