Hip-Hop artist Dame 55 has something to get off his chest and its quite magnetic. The Cincinnati native, writer, and online marketing product manager wants to put you in a trance with his latest “Ghetto Voodoo” album offering. “The album is an introspective look into my life,” Dame says. “‘Ghetto Voodoo’ is a term that I’ve been using to define the way society is at this exact place and time.” He goes on saying, “I am here from Cincinnati, Ohio, to redefine classicism in our society.”
With a nickname taken from his interest in ’50s rockabilly culture, Dame 55 recently toured Europe and is collaborating with artists such as Damien Leroy, Boyz Noise, and Jarvis of pop rock band Iglu & Hartly. Dame has performed with Wale, Steve Aoki , and Yelawolf – You may have seen him modeling in the 2009 campaign by Jeremy Scott for Adidas with his fellow creatives, The Dorks.
SUSPEND will be hosting the official album release party tonight (Nov 20) with Dame who will be providing a full-length listening session of ‘Ghetto Voodoo’ at Mama Shelter in Los Angeles. Guests can expect some Cincinnati relics including the famous Cincinnati Grippos chips at the session.
